New VR Game Releases — February 2026 Roundup

February 2026 brings a handful of new VR releases across Quest and PSVR2. Here's what's dropping and what's worth keeping an eye on.

February is traditionally a slow month for game releases. VR is no exception. But there are a few titles dropping this month that caught my attention.

Ghosts of Tabor — Full Release

Ghosts of Tabor has been in early access on Quest for a while now, and the full 1.0 release lands in February. It’s an extraction shooter — think Escape from Tarkov but in VR. You load into maps, scavenge for gear, fight AI enemies and other players, and try to extract with your loot.

I played the early access extensively and it’s rough around the edges but genuinely tense. The VR gunplay feels weighty, the looting mechanics work well with hand interactions, and the permadeath stakes make every raid stressful in the best way. The 1.0 should smooth out the performance issues and add new maps.

If you like tactical shooters and don’t mind a learning curve, this is worth watching.

Vendetta Forever

A stylish, arcade-y action game where you dual-wield weapons in slow-motion combat. Think SUPERHOT meets John Wick with a comic book art style. Coming to Quest and PC VR.

I played a demo at a press event and it felt great — the time-dilation mechanic gives you a few seconds of bullet-time to plan each move, then you execute. Grab a gun off a table, shoot two guys, throw a knife at a third, dodge a bullet. The flow state is similar to SUPERHOT but with more freedom of movement and a scoring system.

Short campaign expected — maybe 4-5 hours. Could be a solid pickup for action fans.

Arizona Sunshine Remake

The original Arizona Sunshine was one of the first big VR shooters. The remake updates it with modern graphics, improved gunplay, and new content. Launching on Quest 3 and PSVR2.

Honestly, I’m cautiously interested. The original was fun but janky — the shooting felt floaty, the AI was dumb, and it looked dated even at launch. A remake with modern VR standards could be great. But it could also be a cash grab with a new coat of paint. I’ll wait for hands-on impressions before recommending this one.

Smaller Releases Worth Noting

Puzzling Places DLC — new locations dropping mid-February. If you’re into the 3D puzzle thing, more content for an already excellent app.

Walkabout Mini Golf course — a new course themed around Japanese gardens. Walkabout keeps delivering. I’ll be playing this with friends the day it drops.

Beat Saber music pack — new artist collaboration announced but not officially confirmed for February. Could slip to March. I’ll update when there’s a date.

The Bigger Picture

February 2026 isn’t a blockbuster month for VR. That’s fine. The release cadence in VR is slower than traditional gaming, and the titles that do land tend to stick around longer because the library is smaller.

If nothing here excites you, catch up on stuff you missed. Asgard’s Wrath 2 is still the best single-player Quest game. Batman: Arkham Shadow is worth playing if you haven’t. And there’s always the backlog — I’ve got three games I bought on sale in January that I haven’t even installed yet.

March looks busier. I’ll have that roundup when we get there.
